Activity cards made from family photos are a great entertainment. They not only engage your baby but also help them learn more about their world and the important people in it.
Location: On the go, Indoor
Promotes: Fun & games
How to play

Your baby is learning to discriminate visually as well as follow and focus on objects and people. They are also developing the ability to co-ordinate head and eye movements. As they grow older, they'll learn to recognise and name familiar faces. This activity will help toddlers and older children remember relatives who live far away.

Tricks & advice

Slip your photos into a furry photo cube made just for small children. You can find these in the shops.

Learning & growing

Collect close-up snapshots of your family and tuck them into resealable sandwich bags or a sturdy mini-photo album. You can also place photos between clear laminate sheets - have them laminated at a copy store - or use plastic wallets to hold them. The idea is to make it easy for babies to handle and even put them in their mouths.

If you laminate the photos, punch a hole in the top left corner of each one and use a shower curtain ring or key ring to hold them together. Hang the pack of photos from your baby's pushchair, infant seat, high chair or cot.
